So, in essence you can think of modern Orthodox tea leaves as a more authentic and classical tea flavour—the sort of tea taste that your great-great-grandparents might have enjoyed. So what makes Orthodox teas so special? Well, it all comes down to the way their processed. Through gentle rolling, these larger tea leaves acquire a delicate flavour of incredible depth and subtlety that’s a great starting point for those looking to delve a little deeper into the wonderful world of tea.

Getting the best from your brew

To get all the benefits of Orthodox Tea, we recommend letting it steep for 2-3 minutes in freshly boiled water until it turns a rich amber colour. Feel free to adjust according to your strength preference, just remember—longer steep time results in a richer flavour.
