Green Tea Ice Cream

  • 2 cups (500 mL) boiling water
  • 8 Lipton green tea bags
  • 2 cups (500 mL) water
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) dark corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • 1 In teapot, pour boiling water over Lipton® Green Tea Bags. Cover and brew 5 minutes. Remove Tea Bags and squeeze.
  • 2 In medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water and sugar to a boil and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  • 3 Stir in tea, corn syrup and lemon juice.
  • 4 Pour into metal bowl; cover and refrigerate until well chilled, about 1 hour.
  • 5 Process in ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions.
  • 6 Scoop into bowls, garnish with mint and serve.
